22-09-2020Tolle Babydecke! Sie hält gut warm, wir benutzen sie in der Nacht und auch für Spaziergänge mit dem Kinderwagen. Sie ist eher fester und unser Baby mag es, darin eingewickelt zu werden, sodass sie sich wie eine kleine Schale anfühlt. -

Why choose a natural down duvet?
Down traps air and forms a light insulating layer, giving a warmth-to-weight ratio that synthetic fibres can't match. It's also breathable: unlike polyester, it absorbs body moisture instead of trapping it, reducing that clammy feeling overnight. Well cared for, natural down keeps its loft longer than synthetic filling, which flattens and needs replacing more often.
Down duvet or Swisswool duvet?

What's the difference between down and feathers?
Down is the fine, quill-less cluster that grows beneath a bird's contour feathers; it traps air and has no rigid structure. Feathers, by contrast, have a central quill, making them sturdier but also heavier and less insulating for the same weight. Our duvet is made mostly of down, which guarantees lightness, loft and comfort, rather than a lower-grade filling made mostly of feathers.
DownPass: what does this certification guarantee?
DownPass certifies that the down comes from a controlled, traceable supply chain, with regular audits at farms: live-plucking and force-feeding are excluded.

How do I care for a down duvet?
Wash your duvet in a large-capacity machine with a mild detergent, then dry it fully — ideally with tumble dryer balls to preserve the loft. Shake and air it out regularly, and protect it with a duvet cover.
