A 135 × 200 cm duvet cover fits a single duvet of exactly that size – the standard single duvet in Germany and Austria, and the UK single size too. At Zizzz it comes in fine percale and smooth satin, both in certified organic cotton. Fitted sheets and pillowcases are sold separately, so you can put together your bedding to match your bed.
For a 135 × 200 cm duvet, choose a 135 × 200 cm duvet cover. The size refers to the duvet and the cover – not to the mattress.
Who is the 135 × 200 cm size for?
135 × 200 cm is the classic single duvet: it suits beds 90 to 100 cm wide, for adults as well as teenagers and older children. Many couples also prefer two 135 × 200 cm duvets to one shared double duvet.
Tall, or like more room? The 155 × 220 cm comfort size is 20 cm wider and 20 cm longer.

More about each fabric: our percale duvet covers and our satin duvet covers. Still not sure? Take our short quiz: a few questions and you will know which fabric suits you.
Percale duvet cover 135 × 200 cm
Percale is a tight plain weave: each thread passes alternately over and under the crossing thread. At 220 threads per square inch it gives a fine, matt, breathable fabric that gets softer with every wash. Our 135 × 200 percale duvet cover is white with an elegant beige trim and closes with a zip.
Satin duvet cover 135 × 200 cm
Satin – sometimes called sateen when it is made from cotton – is woven so that most of the threads lie on the surface: the fabric is smooth and soft, with a subtle sheen. At 276 threads per square inch it is denser than our percale and feels more enveloping. Our écru satin cover closes with a zip; the Lucky Star model closes with a flap.
Écru: our satin is undyed
Our écru satin is not dyed. Its warm, natural tone is the original colour of the cotton: no dye is added after weaving.
GOTS-certified organic cotton
Our percale duvet covers are made from GOTS-certified organic cotton. The Global Organic Textile Standard combines certified organic fibres with strict environmental and social criteria for textile processing, and checks the whole supply chain up to the finished product. Our satin is made from certified organic cotton.
Care: washing, drying, ironing
Percale and satin can both be washed at up to 60 °C. Close the zip or fold in the flap before washing. Ironing is usually unnecessary: shake the cover out well and hang it up, or put it straight back on the duvet when it comes out of the dryer. Sewn in Portugal
Our duvet covers are sewn in Portugal, in percale and in satin, by a partner we know well and visit regularly.
Frequently asked questions about 135 × 200 cm duvet covers
Which duvet fits a 135 × 200 cm duvet cover?
A 135 × 200 cm duvet. A duvet cover is always chosen by the size of the duvet, not the mattress.
Does a 135 × 200 cm duvet cover come with pillowcases?
No: our 135 × 200 cm duvet covers are sold on their own. You choose pillowcases and a fitted sheet separately, to match your pillow and your mattress.
What is the difference between 135 × 200 and 155 × 220 cm?
155 × 220 cm is 20 cm wider and 20 cm longer: a comfort size for tall sleepers and anyone who likes to snuggle in. 135 × 200 cm is the standard single size.
Will a 140 × 200 cm duvet fit a 135 × 200 cm cover?
We don't recommend it: the duvet would be squeezed and lose some of its loft. For a 140 × 200 cm duvet, choose a 140 × 200 cm cover.
Which pillowcases go with my duvet cover?
Our pillowcases come in percale and satin, in the same shades as our duvet covers, in sizes such as 50 × 70 cm, 65 × 65 cm and 80 × 80 cm. Choose them by the size of your pillow.
How does the duvet cover close?
Our 135 × 200 cm percale cover and our écru satin cover close with a zip, the Lucky Star model with a flap. Each product page shows the closure.
Does the duvet cover need ironing?
Usually not. Give it a good shake and hang it up, or put it straight back on the duvet when it comes out of the dryer. Percale gets softer with every wash, and satin naturally keeps a smooth surface.
